The first-ever ITS/Apple Inc./Cosmic Cup-sponsored digital media competition Leopard Shorts was held during the Spring 2007 semester. The winners were announced during the ENG 340 Narrative Film Festival in Oschle Hall Auditorium on Monday, May 7.

And the Winners are...

Individual Projects

Group Projects

The Lafayette community can view the winners and the rest of the Leopard Shorts submissions by logging into iTunes U.

Timeline

  • Submissions: Thursday, March 1 - Friday, April 27 noon
  • Campus-wide Viewing and Voting: Mon, April 30-Friday, May 4
  • Winners announced: Monday, May 7 at 7 p.m. During the ENG 340 Narrative Film Festival in Oschle Hall Auditorium.

Rules

Categories

  • Individual audio/video project
    • One entry per person.
  • Group audio/video project
    • One entry per group.
    • Groups can have up to four members.
    • Individuals can submit entries as part of a group in addition to their individual entries.

Submissions

  • Submit a single audio or video file.
  • Formats
    • Audio saved as mp3, m4a or aac format.
    • Video saved as mpeg4 or Quicktime movie format.
  • Each file should be 3-5 minutes long (including credits, outakes and any other content).
  • Submissions should not be work completed as part of course requirements.
  • Faculty, alums, community members, and staff are welcome to be on a team; however, only entries from a valid Lafayette Network ID are eligible to submit.
  • Copyrighted materials cannot be used unless the use falls under fair-use provisions or you have documented permission. If you use Creative Commons material you must include the appropriate declarations.
  • ITS reserves the right to disqualify a submission if it is in violation of the College Code of Conduct.

Voting

  • An online vote to determine the winner will be conducted Mon, April 30-Friday, May 4.
  • Winners will be announced Monday, May 7

How To Enter

  • To register, complete the registration form and then upload your finished project to the Leopard Shorts Drop Box in iTunes U or burn it to a CD and mail it to Leopard Shorts, Room 120, Skillman Library.

  • Best Individual Audio or Video Project:
    • 30 GB White iPod
  • Best Group Audio or Video Project
    • 2 GB Silver iPod nano
    • Limited to up to four people per group. Each member of the group receives an iPod nano.
  • Runner-up Prize: Individual Audio or Video Project:

    • $10 gift cards to the Cosmic Cup Coffee Company.
    • Limited to up to four people per group. Each member of the group receives a gift card.
